"A heart of a leader" from Nehemiah 5:1-19

Nehemiah's attitude back at chapter 4 - should be an example for us Christians. As a leader, you must encourage.

Here are the 3 problem of Nehemiah; population increase, increase in tax and they have no food to eat. On building the wall, was not a problem because the king sustain the expenses but the workers are Nehemiah's problem.

The tax they pay is from the debt they also had. As we Christians, if one of us have had a problem we should stick together and pray. Nehemiah got angry because the people were disunited and building of the wall stopped.

Nehemiah rebuke them with love. He also said to them walk in fear with God. So the one who took the vineyards gave back to the one who own it.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

As for us Christians, we should be reminded. Nehemiah is different from the past official governor. Stick for what the gifts given by God to you.

Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

"Choose to be Godly" from Matthew 25:31-46

Two major points on this study:

The sheep will inherint the kingdom.
The goat are curse to be condem to death.

God will judge us according to what we have done. Goats are the wicked.

Matthew 24:3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

What happen at the end of the age?
The ungodly will be separated from the righteous.

1 Corinthians 15:52-54
52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

Daniel 12:2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

Right hand is the place of honor. While the Left is place of dishonor. The sheep is the symbol of innocent.
The earth is our temporary place and our citizenship is in heaven.

John 14:2-3
2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Do we deserve the inheritance from God?

How should we response to all of these promises of God?

Do not be conform by the the pattern of this world but be renew. No one can separate us from God.
Hell was made for fallen angels and now it is for people like these.
Deuteronomy 27:20-23
20 “Cursed is anyone who sleeps with his father’s wife, for he dishonors his father’s bed.”
Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”

21 “Cursed is anyone who has sexual relations with any animal.”
Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”

22 “Cursed is anyone who sleeps with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.”
Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”

23 “Cursed is anyone who sleeps with his mother-in-law.”
Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”

If you are blessed be a blessing to other people.

Life is the opposite of death.
Where do you want to go heaven or hell?

"Keep On Working" from Nehemiah 4:1-23

Before we have no place, and we were must renting a building for our church. And now, we are blessed because God gave us our own church building and we are not renting anymore. In short we can never doubt God plans for our lives.

"We" here are Jews and the author here obvously is Nehemiah. Ammonite are enemies of Jews. 1st point in verse 1-3, expect there is speculation. A leader should be an example. Paul the apostle said; "When we are cursed, we are blessed. When we are persecuted, we endure." Jesus promised us you will have rewards from heaven, when you are persecuted in being righteous. When we are weak, He is strong.

One of the tools from the enemy is you will be mocked. In verse 4, we can see Nehemiah's reaction that he turn to God and he did not fight back what they have done to him. Jesus want us to love our neighbor and don't treat them as enemy.

Ephesians 6:11-17 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

As for us, when we do the work of God make sure you do it wholeheartedly.

2 Corinthians 8:17 For Titus not only welcomed our appeal, but he is coming to you with much enthusiasm and on his own initiative.

Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

Hebrews 13:21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Remember to pray when the enemies attack you. Prayer is like a fuel, we need it to go on our walk of faith in God. And prayer is also a battery, we need to be recharge.

1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

If you focused on our enemy, you will surely truly failed. But when you focused on God, you will never failed. Know that God will support you and we should support each other.
Sub points in verse 4: don't let fears hinder you in doing God's work, remember the Lord and fight for our brothers. The word "work" here are said many times. When you work make sure you have the sword, meaning the word of God.

Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Collosians 1:29 To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.

1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

"Be Faithfull" from Matthew 25:14-30

2 Points of Faithfulness:
We should prove our faith to be genuine.
Make it your goal to please Him.

The interpretation of The gifts of the Holy Spirit is "talents".

If you are faithful in small things God will add your gifts.

Remember the four T:
Temple- our body
Treasurers - use our money to God's glory.
Time - don't be lazy
Talents - your gifts

Romans 12:6-8
6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Whatever work you're doing consider that as gifts - be it just taking care of kids, laundry etc. Work for God's glory.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean for His own understanding and He will direct your path straight.

The one who hid the money in the ground represent the people who neglect the gifts that God has given to them.
Proverbs
Honor the Lord with your crops, with the first fruit.

If we listen to what the worldly people listen and sing what they sing, then what difference do we have with the unbelievers?

We have our own standard of living and not the standard of living in the world. We should not imitate the worldly people.

In verse 19
Reckoning will happen when He comes. And He will inquire what you have done with your gifts.
We should be diligent before He comes and making more fruits from the talents He gave.

Romans 14:12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

We have to imitate the two servants, faithfulness can't be taught it is a characteristic imparted by God to a yielded man, when you surrender your heart to God then you will be faithful. Open and surrender your heart to God.

Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Matthew 25:21 "His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

In my personal observation, "Faithfulness to God and faithfulness to God's calling are lacking in lives of many believers nowadays". And what should be our response to this? For me, we should be very careful to listen to the voice of God and learn to really yield our hearts to Him. So, "Be a faithful minister of Christ because He requires FAITHFULNESS!"

"You And I Are Teammates" from Nehemiah 3:1-32

Teammates, are group of people and as a team we need to fellowship.
The 2 points that you will see in this chapter;

one step at a time,

and work together.

God is a God of restoration. So when you get brokenhearted, God will restore you. God gave them authority to rebuild the wall. Nehemiah involve the people to work together.
The important thing is that when you do things - dedicate yourself to it. Dedicate also means to work together. As believers, we need to dedicate our work to Jesus. In order to lead people, you need to listen.

Eliashib means whom God restore. Expect that some workers are lazy. We have to be diligent not to be idle. Whatever we do, do it for the glory of God.

Repair, repairs, and repaired said in this chapter 37 times. Its a long process to rebuild the wall. Repair in hebrew word means Chadash.

Dung - place to where the garbage are placed.

Now, what's the purpose of rebuilding the wall? It is to dedicate it with the Lord.

When we work together you should not be mediocre. They rebuild the wall, they worked hard for the Lord. Christians are actually full time ministers because of our relationship in the Lord.

We have to work wholeheartedly you will never be mediocre. When we worked together we have to be zealous. As one body, Christ is the head.

Romans 12:11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

Keep watch and be ready.
To be spiritually awake, and be vigilant, alert as the enemy will be always lurking around who his going to devour.
As in the book of Thessalonians Never be tired of doing what is right.
Give strick attention and look for His coming watch the sign and be ready.

1 Peter 4:7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.
1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

Verse 45-51
Wait with sincere devotion.
Be Godly servant and be faithfull and wise. Do the things of God or do it everything for God's glory.

Luke 16:10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

God will reward us for what we have done.

The second coming of Christ People will become corrupt and be wicked but the people were just merrying and having fun.

Noah - means peace. And His ark symbolizes the savior.
As a believes we are already on board at the boat and don't give up.

Romans 13:13-14
13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.

People will have no concern in the things of God. As we celebrate Christmas it's because of Jesus Christ. And not ourselves.

At the rapture the Bible says "Every knee will any down and every tongue will confess that Jesus is the Lord."

Remind ourselves regarding the lesson of "Left Behind".

Don't be deceived. Keep watch and be ready. And wait with sincere devotion. Don't be plastic.

"The Time is Near" from Matthew 24:15-35

We have to choose what is right.

The signs of coming of Christ the worldly people will make wrong - right. And right - wrong.

Daniel 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

Many people will believe in religion - is one of the sign The time is near and we need to pay more attention to God's word so we will not drift away.

Once you don't have relationship with God you will not be with Him during the rapture.

The main message of this chapter is to motivate us to live rightly today, to live a Godly life.

We can't always make excuse "that we are only human" that is the main reason we should depend on God and not in ourselves we have been redeemed from wickedness to life therefore our new nature is to feed the Spirit not the flesh.

The commitment of being always present in all ministry is not the sign of true commitment but making your heart right with the Lord is the sign of commitment you love doing the ministry rather than being forced to do the ministry.

1 Thessalonians 2:9-11
9 Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you. 10 You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. 11 For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children,

Isaiah 13:10 10 The stars of heaven and their constellations
will not show their light.
The rising sun will be darkened

Why did the people cried rather than being happy for the coming of Christ?
Because unbelievers will suddenly realized they have chosen the wrong way.

In verse 32 to 34 are the prediction of His coming

1 Peter 4:7 7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.

Clean your thoughts and be self controlled.

Hebrews 10:37 37 For,

“In just a little while,

Jesus was not talking about the rapture of the church. But to give realization and insights that there is the beginning and the end. Expect the coming of Jesus

John 2:20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?”

Set our mind and hearts in things above.

Luke 21:5 Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said,

What will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age?
Jesus will come like a thief in the night the thief will always come when you least expect it.

Matthew 24:42-44
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

What are the reason that people can be deceived?
That good works can save you?
The danger is they have sealed it without knowledge. It's important to know the truth. To look out and don't let anyone leads you to error. Be self feeders and read the word of God on your own don't rely only to the church just once a week.

Ephesians 4:14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

God uses these to bring spirituall awakening, to remind us to go back to God.

1 Thessalonians 5:3 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

1 Peter 4:18-20

“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,

We are in the world but we are not of the world that is why the world hate you. Don't be ashame if the world persecute you as you will receive reward in heaven.

1 John 4:4

Rules of interpretation

Know the context.

Interpret the simple truth literally.

Scripture will explain scriptures.

New testament is priority over the old testament.

Explicit is important to know what is obvious word and use it to expound.

Do we get affected by the wickedness of the people?
The more you think of bad things the more you become bad.
Stand and nothing move you always give yourself fully to be in the service of God.

"Response to His Agape Love" from Ezra 9:1-15

Points of this chapter: We need to follow what is good not evil and Let us be reminded of His mercy.

We need to protect ourselves in the enemies; the number one is Satan. Satan really cannot be saved.

Deuteronomy 20:17 Completely destroy them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the LORD your God has commanded you.

They have not kept themselves away, even though how faithful God is to them. Agape love means unconditional love. It's not easy to become a Christian.

Charles Spurgeon says; Be walking Bible. If you always think God's love more than the world, that's the key. Do not follow the lifestyle of the world or enemy. Remember His love.

Mingled means inter mix. Jewish men marrying foreign women. God's people had been contaminated. Why is it that God forbid His people to marry unequally yolk? Is God "kill joy"? God only wants to preserve His people to be holy one and His intention also is that a danger that they would worship their Idols.

Deuteronomy 7:3-4 3 Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons, 4 for they will turn your children away from following me to serve other gods, and the LORD’s anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy you.

1 Corinthians 6:14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.

Repent if your involve in a relationship that is wrong. We need to fear the Lord with fear and trembling. Fear means respect.

Psalm 119:1 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD.

We have to acknowledge our sin and do not cover up our inequity. Be mindful of God's grace.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

We should not break His commands.

2 Peter 2:20-21 20 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.

"Be Conform to The Likeness of Christ" from Matthew 23:13-39

How do we conform into the likeness of Christ?

Developed through christian character.

God want us to experience Saints spiritual surgery.

Always come to Him.

The pharisees are careful to keep their outside character very clean but God sees the heart. Search your heart what is your motive?
Aim for purity.

How terrible it would be to say you're Holy and Right?

Jesus condemn the pharisees for they have thier own doctrines and ways to enter heaven and by that false teaching prevent man to accept Jesus Christ. It's not about religion, it's about relationship with God.

The most hardest thing to remove to any person are thier tradition and religious beliefs.

We should not copy the example of the pharisees. They keep the people from going to the kingdom of heaven. They can cover up lies.

Know the difference between Sinful anger and righteous anger.

Don't swear anymore. Let your yes be yes and no be no.
Don't break the oath keep the oath you have with the Lord
James 5:12 Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned.

The attitude of the pharisees: hypocrites - putting other people down in order to cover up thier own sins.

Matthew 9:13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Proverbs 29:23 Pride brings a person low,
but the lowly in spirit gain honor.

We should allow God to do the surgery. To change us from within not from the outside.

Put off the former way of life and put in the new way of life.

The pharisees are so expert in showing themselves good in the outside. But God looks inside and so be pure in heart.

Nothing is hidden in God's eyes.

1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

Salvation is God's work and not man's effort.

God doesn't want us to do more for Him but God wants us to be more with Him.

John 8:24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.”

You will die with your sins if you don't believe in Christ.

"He Choose You" from Ezra 8:1-36

Can you imagine if Filipinos choose a swimmer who only knew dog style swim to represent our country? No! Just for us Christians we should be really a good representative of God.

God choose you because of His grace and love. Why did God choose Ezra? Overall God is gracious. The Bible tells us that God already choose us before the creation of the world. Isn't we are blessed that God already choose us before we exist.

Romans 8:28-29
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

Strengths and Accomplishment of Ezra:
1. He observe God's word
2. He led the second group of exiles
3. He is concern keeping about the details of commandments of God.

Psalm 1:1-2
1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,
and who meditates on his law day and night.

He work along side of Nehemiah.
In the New Testament version Barnabas was with Paul. Barnabas means the son of Encouragement.

Hebrews 10:25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

It was evident that God is faithful and gracious. Even if our forefathers disobey God, still the 12 tribes of Judah is complete. As God's people, we should pray for more workers.

How to be capable of doing something?
We must learn. We should realize we are not competent.

2 Corinthians 3:5-6 5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

He urge the people to have fasting. Shame on you, if you didn't pray. Set-apart means to make holy. Sanctification is ungoing of the Holy Spirit or use by Him.

How we consecrated our things on your house? Simply use it for God's glory then it will be sacred. They offer a sacrifice to God, as for us loving Him for He first loved us.

Matthew 5:24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

"Don't Act Like a Pharisees" from Matthew 23:1-12

What should be done:
We should apply what we have learned.
Be a real minister.

The main focus in service to God is to Himself not to you. That's why you don't act like a pharisees.

Moses is the most humble in the mankind of history.

Many people look very good and kind to others but deep inside they are just doing it for a purpose.
What good is it? for they don't have the heart for God.
These people will honor from thier lips but they are far from me.

Luke 11:43 “Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the most important seats in the synagogues and respectful greetings in the marketplaces.

Whatever that comes out of your mouth make sure you can do it. We should do what we teach.

Ministry not showmistry.

When you pray - with sincerity.
Be careful not to do your act of righteousness to be seen by man for you will not inherit the treasure in heaven.

Even in preaching they preach in envy and rivalry. Be remind do nothing out of selfish ambition.

Deuteronomy 22:12 Make tassels on the four corners of the cloak you wear.

Most of the time we like to be treated well to be VIP.
They want themselves to be always comfortable.

Take note that you are not to be called Rabbi.

Don't call anyone Father. Not even spiritual father or mother as some Christians' does.

In the worlds point of view you must be called with a title to be respected. But in the Bible's point of view Respect God not man in regards to title.
God opposes the proud, who ever humbler himself will be exalted.

Christ Like attitude. Look to Jesus

If you look to Jesus we can have attitude of being a servant.

Philippians 2:5-8
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

"Devote Yourself in The Word of God" from Ezra 7:1-28

The Instruction starts in this chapter. Jeshua means Salvation. Take note that this is in God's calling. Chapter 6 and 7 is between of Esther. The names of Israelites has a meaning on God's word.

Zerahiah means Prince of the Lord. Ezra is a priest and study the the word of God. Especially Ezra was called to be the 2nd to Moses. So just as him, you must study the word of God.

If we have no relationship with God, you will not know that God choose you, and this is the first step to salvation. God's word has a powerful impact in the people around you as you apply it to your life.

Good hand meaning blessed by the Lord. He had practice what he learned.

John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commands.

Acts 13:34 God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. As God has said,‘'I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’'

The heart in a Christian life is very sensitive in your walk with faith in God.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

The Sadducees questioned Jesus regarding the resurection and the Law.
What is the law? In the Bible it was in the first 5 books; Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.

What is the first and greatest commandments?
Love the Lord with all of your heart and all of your mind. You need to have a relationship with God to be able to Love Him whole heartedly. Walk in love. The one evidence of loving God is reading His love letter that is the Bible. Loving with all of your heart and all of your soul.

The first is the spirit, the soul, we have the spirit of God to guide us and teach us. Our soul has only two destination either heaven or hell. To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. The Bible is teaching us to Love God with all of our soul.

How to love God with all of your mind?
1) Use your brain for God's glory. Not for your own glory. Example is studying the Bible.
2) Don't boast on what you have learned in the world like you're a doctor or lawyer
Galatians 6:3
3) ask God for the mind of Christ.

Sickness is not the reason for us not to worship God.

Philippians 4:6-8 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Having the mind of Christ, He wants to be the only one in our life. Allow God to set your priority.
Persevere and Endurance. Abide in me and I will abide in you so you will bare much fruit. The word abide - God doesn't want us to do more for Him but He wants us to be more with Him.

God's love is unconditional.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

For whatever you think you become one.
Our mind should be change moving forward be focus with God.

How much do you Love yourself?
You can never do it on your own. You can not never love someone as yourself if you don't Love God.

Love your neighbor as yourself I am the Lord.
Forgive the persons who did you wrong so God will also forgive you.

How to extend the Love of God?

S-share your blessing can't be just money or food it could also be gift of talents.
T-time best way to express love is giving time.

How can we show love for one another?
Accept the person that he/she like that.
Share to the people who are in need.
Live in harmony with one another.

How to live in harmony?
Be willing to associate to people with low position whether they are poor or sinners. But don't compromise.
Man is a wolf to man who does not know. They love each other without knowing each other.

John 15:17 This is my command: Love each other.

You are a hyprocrite if you hate someone.
Love is not what you do but what you are.

God will allow you to carry on and He will provide your needs. Allow His word to guide you. Don't throw away God's word in your life. Of course God's nature is a blesser, knowing He is providing your needs. Building the kingdom of God will not stop. When we are faithless, God is faithful. Trust in God's word, don't just read it. Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

As believers must be a conceit companion of the light of God then we will do His work. Seek the Lord.

Jesus spoke to then in parables.
Parables is the illustration and comparison to physical and spiritual.
And in this parable it was clear that we need to wear the right wedding clothes.

Matthew 22:2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.

He will send servant to invite then in the wedding but the people neglected.
Who are the servants?
Before in the old testaments it was the prophets who communicate and in the new testaments it was Jesus and his disciples. Nowadays, the Holy Spirit is the one who communicates to us in order to minister.

All we need to do is to receive His invitation.

John 3:29-30 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. 30 He must become greater; I must become less.”

Isaiah 55:1 “Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.

Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

God used many prophets but most people rejected them.
The message was "tell those who was been invited that I have prepared a dinner".

God repeats his message to the Jews over and over again.

The Kingdom of heaven is a wedding banquet.

We are all under construction but the the point is we need to receive the message. We should pay attention to the words of God.

Are we being mistreated because of our faith?
As most people are lovers of pleasure than lovers of God.
But then the persecution in this world can not be compared to hell. All these persecution are nothing compared (if you go) to heaven.

Even as believers we must be careful not to love money more than God.

The 1st invitation was for the Jews but they refuse and the 2nd was for the religious but they all refuse. And the 3rd was for the Gentiles.
But people nowadays like to make robes and they will make their own religion have thier own doctrines, etc...
That is foolishness as it is the work of men because salvation is not the work of men but God.

Christ provided his own robe of righteousness and wear it. And where can you get it?
Only in the Bible the word of God.

This is to remind us not to wear filthy clothes as this is our own effort.

Jesus indeed said to us that He is the only way the truth and the Light.

Revelation 19:7-9
7 Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready.
8 Fine linen, bright and clean,
was given her to wear.”

(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.)

9 Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”

Isaiah 61:10 I delight greatly in the LORD;
my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Our savior often use this expression "for many are called but only few are chosen" who are really saved?
We need Jesus to give us the robe of righteousness.

If you don't have Jesus Christ (robe of righteousness) you will be thrown outside.

Our defenses as Christians is the word of God. We must anticipate and expect that the enemy will attack us.
The enemies here were the Samaritans, the Jews don't associate with them for they are unclean.

2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Zerubabbel was one of the leaders the exile in Babylon, he helped the people in rebuilding the temple, and he refuses the enemies by helping them.

2 John 1:10-11 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 11 Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.

Matthew 10:16 I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

The enemy will discourage you and make you afraid. Frustrate means will bother. Discouragement and Fear are the two greatest obstacle in your faith in God.

The Altar is a place of sacrifice. And the Temple is a place of worship or to dedicate ourselves to God.

John 17:11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of[a] your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.
Leviticus 23:33-44 33 The LORD said to Moses, 34 “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month the LORD’s Festival of Tabernacles begins, and it lasts for seven days. 35 The first day is a sacred assembly; do no regular work. 36 For seven days present food offerings to the LORD, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly and present a food offering to the LORD. The people first built the altar for them to communicate to God. Nowadays, we should set prayers as our first priority.

Genesis 8:20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it.and where he had first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the LORD.
Genesis 13:4 and where he had first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the LORD.
Genesis 22:14 So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.

They give thanks through the altar, for us now through prayers.

Psalm 136:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.

Ezra has 10 chapters. This book is about God's people starting to have relationship with unbelievers or beginning to be equally yolk.

Jehovah is the jewish national name of God.

Isaiah 44:5 Some will say, ‘I belong to the LORD’; others will call themselves by the name of Jacob; still others will write on their hand, ‘The LORD’s,’ and will take the name Israel.

We have freedom because God set us free. King Cyrus was a great military leader, he conquered the Egypt. He gives freewill for all the Jews to build the temple of God.

Once we offer to God, we offer it to his people. Temple is the work of God and our own body. We need to offer our sacrifices to God voluntarily.

Set your priority, for God wants us to choose the best thing. All these verses is a shadow of Jesus Christ, for God never leave them.

Philippians 2:14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing

James 1:16-17 16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

God will help you to rebuilt yourself to set our hearts and minds on things above not on this earthly things.

Every one wants to work in God's vine yard.

Who was the land owner?
God

Who was the worker?
The disciples and living saints.

Vineyard here is refering to work of God or ministry - whether you are in the office, at home or in church.

The purpose of this parable is to remind us that we should not compare to those who have the longer relationship with God as we are all equall in God's sight. This parable has nothing to do with salvation. It doesn't represent rewad to earn a penny.

1 Corinthians 3:8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.

Are you underestimating people who are new in relationship with God?
We need to store our treasure in our heart and live it out.

Don't compare yourself thinking you are the superior as we have different gifts and no matter who you are God will use you if you let Him. God is not showing favoritism. As we serve the Lord we need to have the right motivation.

It is good to have ambition in life but don't do it in selfish ambition.

We are all equall in the sight of God. Do not under estimate their work in God.

What are our motivation in serving God?
Store your treasure in heaven.
Man look outside but God look inside. God will use you if you have the right attitude. Patience not selfish ambition. We need to have love - the bottom line to serve God.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

1 John 1:10 NIV If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

I have known a person who says "I have not sinned and I am sinless". That's extremely brave statement, isn't it? In other words, that person is telling I'm absolutely perfect and declaring that God is a liar! And in reality, the Word of God has no place in his heart. So, I counsel you to confess (tell it and surrender it to God) your sins (1 John 1:9) and open youp heart and receive God's Word and you'll not be changed.

For a drug-addict when you take in drugs, the feeling is like heaven. This is also the same in our body, when you're enjoying to do sins it will make you high but in the end sin brings you down as this is God's word said.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jehoahaz, his name means God sustain him. In other words God is holding him. But, he did evil in the eyes of God.

Jehoiakim, his name means raised up by God. Jehoiakim was not thankful, the same thing for us, we should be thankful for if we don't, we committed sin.

Nebuchadnezzar, his name means Nebu the protector against misfortune. Detestable means faithful.

Jehoiachin, his name means the one God appointed. We Christians, should always focus on God.

If we are willing to accept God's word in our heart.

In spiritual aspect stiff-neck means you no longer wanalso ar God's word and become stubborn.

The only presence that touches our heart is God. Jesus welcome the little children and used them as an example.
Matthew 18:2-5

Luke 18:15 People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them.

The Spiritual part of the children is very important. We should pray for our children.

What good thing must I do to get eternal life?

Galatians 3:5 So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?

James 2:10-11 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. For he who said, “You shall not commit adultery,”[a] also said, “You shall not murder.”[b] If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.

Why did Jesus bring out the 10 Commandments?
Because the law is the mirror of who we are.

Jesus told the wealthy young man to sell all his possession and follow Him. But the young man went out sad as he can not give up his own god - his wealth and property.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

Ephesians 5:5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

In verse 23: If you allow money to control you it is harder to enter the kingdom of God.

1 Timothy 6:9-10 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Loving Him totally for the expansion of the kingdom of God. For all of who followed Him and love Him completely. Love God supremely.

We are all sinners but a faith in God counts live by faith with the God Jesus Christ. Salvation comes from God.

Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

"Revive Your Commitment" from 2 Chronicles 35:1-27

Passover symbolizes Jesus Christ.

John 4:20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.

2 Chronicles 33:3 He rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had demolished; he also erected altars to the Baals and made Asherah poles. He bowed down to all the starry hosts and worshiped them.

The meaning of the Temple before is an arc of covenant. But these days, our body is (we are) the temple.

1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.

If you are son of God, you must not be into the world and you must also be holy. It's a really big opportunity for us Christians of what God grace has.

If I am already saved, I should not do such things anymore. It also means you NOT being selfish. The only king for us is Jesus Christ.

You should not question God of "what His plan and purpose for you?". If you have problem, you should first go to God and pray. God is the only hope for us in our life.

"Stick To His Word" from Matthew 19:1-15

This chapter teaches about marriage and divorce.

Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?
No. Because in the beginning God created one man and woman made for each other. One mind and two flesh. What God bind let no man set apart.

Divorce in King James version means to put away.

Because of divorce law many children became half orphan.

In marriage the word united means shall cleave - to glue. Just like as you glue the paper when you set it apart after gluing what will happen? The two papers will be ruin.

Jesus focuses in marriage than divorce and pointed out reasons to stay in marriage:
1. At the beginning God created one male and female
2. Man should cleave to his wife
3. No longer two but one, a husband must not divorce his wife.
4. Therefore, what God has joined together let no man shall separate.

Moses allowed divorce because the people heart were hard. But the intention of God was to make marriage permanent and to protect women.

Anyone who will divorces his wife except for fornication and marries another will commit adultery.

1 Corinthians 7:39 A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, but he must belong to the Lord.

1 Corinthians 7:24-25 Brothers and sisters, each person, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation they were in when God called them. Now about virgins: I have no command from the Lord, but I give a judgment as one who by the Lord’s mercy is trustworthy.

1 Corinthians 7:32-33 I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs—how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife—

If you're faithful whatever works you have, God will reward you especially in serving God. Faithful means loyal. Worship is not something like to make us ready.

Revelation 14:10-11 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.”

Receptive means quick to response. God will give us heart of flesh. We are complete by God's grace. As we continue in our walk with the Lord put off those dirt on you having sin.

Keep the matter private.

Unless you forgive your brother from your heart, God will not do the same.

Avoid every kind of evil. Some Bible Scholars says King Manasseh made an altar image of him. Where your treasure is there your heart will be also. Sorcery means a lot of power and come from evil. Divination means predicting the signs. Witchcraft means a form of magic.

Mediums consults the soul of people who are dead.

Isaiah 8:19 When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?

The disciples will often wonder who is the greatest among themselves and in the kingdom of heaven. Just like some people, do we often think about who will be the greatest in the kingdom of God?
And Jesus explained "unless you'll be like children you will never enter the kingdom of heaven". The "children" if someone will tell you "para ka man bata" (you're like the kids) is that a good thing or not?
Being like the children are innocent (from bad things), curious (about learning God more), and humble (when we made mistakes).
Humility is the key to become the greatest. Humble thy self in the eyes of the Lord and He shall lift you up. The path to greatness is the path of servanthood not looking for ourselves but for the Lord.

The worst sin is to destroy the child's faith in God. In heaven thier (children) angels will always behold them. We all have angels in heaven to protect us.

In verse 8: Jesus doesn't mean literally. If anything cause you to sin then cut it out, the good example of this is, if in case gossiping cause you to sin (then to cut it off) don't talk to that person and tell her/him not to cause you to sin.

Jesus is present even in the gathering of 2 and 3 person.
This is also the same in fellowship with the church it doesn't matter how many people will attend as long as those few people agree with each other and have one faith then Jesus is present in the midst.

How many times do you forgive someone who does the same mistakes?
Seven times?
Seven times seventy! Before you finally finish counting 490 you will forget where you left of counting the mistakes of people who did you wrong.
In short, Jesus said "it is not the matter of numbers but the matter of the spirit, if you can't forgive how can your Father in heaven forgive you?"
Do you want to hear from God (before you enter the kingdom of heaven) I remember what you did this and that and you're still not forgiven because you haven't forgave this and that person too!
You got to be willing to forgive pray for the spirit of forgiveness. And to remove all the bitterness.

Divorce?
Because of the hardness of the heart in man Moses put up the law of divorce. But Jesus explain "in the beginning it was not so, God intended to have ONLY one partner (Adam and Eve)" so the children will not be hurt. Jesus have only ONE cause of divorce and that is fornication.

Good works?
There are always people who will work their way to God's presence and blessing - what good work must I do to inherent the kingdom of Heaven?
The answer; There are no good works that man can do to achieve going to heaven. There is only one Good and that is God.
To measure us, Keep the commandments the Law of God. And have relationship with God.
How to have relationship with God?
Get to know him more, you can never have relationship with someone whom you don't know, for example, how will you establish a relationship with the person you like? You have to know her/him and give her/him what she/he wants till you establish the strong relationship and do not do what she/he doesn't like.

How to know God more?
Read the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (The BIBLE). Fellowship with the same faith (believers) And have a relationship with God.

Proverbs 15:22 Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.

As believers, we need encouragement every single day. Be strong in the Lord.

2 Timothy 2:1 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Be courageous means be spirited. Moving forward and overcoming the fear.

1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Encouragement cost you nothing but it is priceless to give. ASAP means Always Say A Prayer.

Why did the disciples can't heal the people?
Thou they have the faith they were lacked of belief.

We must be aware that the healing is not on physical but spiritual, though we are not underestimating the physical healing.

Faith doesn't come from ourselves but from God.

Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Acts 3:16 16 By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.

Faith that comes through Him - we must be aware that faith comes from the Lord. Remember the story of "the doubting Thomas" he was the only one who doesn't believe that Jesus was resurrected.
Believe and you will see.

Be persistent in our prayer - and continue never stopping - that is faith.

In verse 20: the disciples can't heal the boy because of thier unbelief. Our unbelief hinder what whe wanted to be done. And it is impossible to please God and impossible for God to heal us. (Depending to God's power to heal.)

Matthew 14:30-31

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

Slowly but surely we must increase our faith.
Fasting can help us to grow and have genuine faith.

Even Jesus let Peter pay the tax and this is the same to us - we are NOT the one who will scrutinize the government if they are corrupt or not. It is more important to be honest and be clear in conscience. God will provide.

Do we commit sin if we have little faith?
Anyone who knows the good but doesn't do good - sins.
It is important that we grow our relationship with God.

The original vs. imitation, the original one really gives 100% quality on any product. As for us in our service to God, we need to give our 100% too and we need to give it wholeheartedly.

Honoring God with your wealth, we should be reminded to give your 100% to God and do not get tired. We need to "let go" of our idols.

Exodus 23:24 Do not bow down before their gods or worship them or follow their practices. You must demolish them and break their sacred stones to pieces.

Minister means is to serve. When you give your 100% to God, you should give thanks to God. We should sing praises to God in 100% also.

Psalms 135:1-3
Praise the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD; praise him, you servants of the LORD, you who minister in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God. Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant.

God really blessed King Hezekiah and this will be also the same to us - honoring God makes our life a blessing.

1 Timothy 5:17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.

If you can spend so much money in the party but why it is to God - you can only give small amount?
Giving is one of the important things for us to be reminded cause it is in God's law. God love's a cheerful giver.

Faithfulness means loyalty or perseverance. Conaniah means made by Jehovah.

Whatever position you have in the church, do it faithfully. We should serve God, anytime, anywhere. There's no age limit when you serve God. We should depend on to the Lord. Trust in God faithfully.

If you want to be mature in God, eat solid food spiritually. We need to seek God, work wholeheartedly, do not be mediocre but excel your service to God.

Jesus transfigured in front of his disciples to make them believed.

Remember that the disciples was just an ordinary men (fishermen) but they are servant of God.

(Revelation 21:23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.)

What was the sign when Moses saw the glory of God?
He was glowing with radiance after he came back from Mountain of Sinai.

2 Peter 1:18 We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.

In God's presence there is no darkness, the Holiness of God is there and in Him there is no darkness. Transfigured means to change.

"The invisible image of the invisible God."

Luke 9:30-31 Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure,[a] which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem.

They spoke about Jesus departure (his going to the cross) and Jesus is preparing for himself.

The two big leaders:
Moses - represent the book of the Law.
Elijah - represent the prophet.

Verse 4: to be in God's presence is not about feeling just like when Peter was overwhelm, it is about the God's presence itself be guided by the Holy Spirit.

15 When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered it, 16 and the glory of the LORD settled on Mount Sinai. R-reflection. Because you are thinking about God and not other things.
E-edification. Your soul will be lifted up.

Revelation 1:7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”

and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen.

We need to have God's spirit of presence.
We need to have a fleshly heart.

Luke 24:46-47 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Serve the Lord with gladness.
It is not an excuse that we must be treated well, because the son of man suffered.

Be change from glory to glory remember "CARE". Meditate to God's word not only for us to be comfortable but be also prepared for suffering. Embrace his word and allow the presence of God be upon you.

You are to determine the amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat. 5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats. 6Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight. 7 Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.

1 Corinthians 5:7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Always turn to God in whatever status you have in your life now. Unfaithful in King James Version is from the word trespass.

Submit means to surrender, to give or to occupy. To obey Him 1st yielding our body. His Holy Spirit renew every part of your life. You must submit and humble yourself to God.

Sanctuary means in church. I need to have fellowship or go to church. Serve the Lord your God.

Scom it means mock. The word of God is complete. Blood it means cleansing. In the New Testament, it always have an attention to the shedding of the blood of Christ and of what He has done.

Church was built for the sinners not the holy one, for in reality we all have sin against God.

Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.

Psalms 86:5 You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.

James 5:15-16 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

They are joyful in worshiping God, which is important. If you turn to God, it will always have a great joy. The blessings for the people, that is why there are blessing in the reign of King Hezekiah.

On this verse Jesus told His disciple the prediction of His death.

The resurrection of Jesus is the receipt of our redemption

Who was the blessing to Jesus at this point?
It was Peter because he doesn't want Jesus to be crucified. And Peter was only thinking of the physical death. We must understand that at that time Peter was only a baby christian.

Remember at the desert the temptation of Jesus. And the book of Hebrews Jesus endured the Cross to overcome the world. As there are no other way.

Let your mind be set to the things spirit.
The mind controlled by the spirit is peace those who are in sinful nature are setting its mind to the pleasure of this world.

In verse 24: think about this, are we denying ourselves to follow Jesus?
It means we are giving our whole life (and not partial) to God - To be fully dedicated.

How do we deny ourselves? Put aside our selfish ambition, as the nature of man will always think our own interest.. not only selfish ambition but in dealing with our sins, do we have patience, kindness and gentleness?
Forget yourself? Not physicaly but spiritually.

Money is a good servant but a dangerous master.

What is the opposite of taking up the cross? It is ignoring the cross.

1 Timothy 3:3-4
not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full[a] respect.

Remember the saying "All disciples are believers but not all believers are disciples".

Dedicate you life to God.

As what good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet looses his soul?

Personally, the other night I was so worried and couldn't really some sleep because I was thinking of the funds for the church building. During the morning when I prayed and asked the Lord to speak to me in my time of need. I wanted to be comforted and reminded of His word. Indeed, God is so faithful He gave me this verse to build-up my spirit and encourage me to cast everything unto Him for He's faithful God. He is our Jehovah Jireh!

"Be Set Apart" from 2 Chronicles 29:1-36

Set apart means sanctified or to be holy. One of the pastor from Calvary Chapel was a drug pusher and drug addict until one day he decided to flash it all the drugs in the toilet, for he knew he will use it again... He then choose the right way to repend, to be holy and cleanse his sin.

Hezekiah means the might of Jehovah. Abijah means my father is Jehovah. God's power is our strength, we need God's strength to consecrate ourselves just like King Hezekiah.

King Hezekiah prioritize the 1st thing that is important - serving God. He reform his service to God and repaired the temple. As Christians we are the Levites, that we should serve the living God and to be the chosen generation.

In spiritual speaking we need water, represents the word of God.

Exodus 19:10 And the LORD said to Moses, Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes.

Exodus 19:15 Then he said to the people, "Prepare yourselves for the third day. Abstain from sexual relations."

Defilement means filthiness or in other word idolatry. Even in our home or in church, we should be careful in doing sin.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

The focus on this chapter is to be centered only to Christ in verse 11.

The Lord has chosen you to stand before Him.

To serve Him.

To minister before Him.

To burn incense.

Lamp represents the light of God.

John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Heman means faithful. As Christians, we need to be faithful even though we are struggling we need to pray so God will help us to be faithful.

The things in the church must be use in God's glory.
To consecrate ourselves we need to acquire the blood, the perfect blood of Jesus Christ. Atonement means from Bible Teacher covering of sin and the word simply means by syllable at-one-ment.

The Law wants the shedding of the blood to cleanse your sin, like Jesus Christ's blood became sin for our sin.

2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Hebrews 9:21-22 In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

Leviticus 4:24 He is to lay his hand on the goat’s head and slaughter it at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered before the LORD. It is a sin offering.

Romans 5:10-11 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Our burning incense in New Testament or for us now is our prayer and worship God with gladness.

Psalm 36:1 I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Philippians 2:10-11 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Dedicate meaning wholeheartedly. We should worship God with reluctantly not by force. We learn to be Dedicating, Pleasing, Consecrating and to Burn Incense, offering our lives to Christ should be done quickly.

"Jesus Is Indeed The Mesiah" from Matthew 16:1-20

Sadducees - don't believe in resurrection, angels. And exclude God from the government of the world.

Pharisees - On the first notice of them in the New Testament (Matt. 3:7), they are ranked by our Lord with the Sadducees as a "generation of vipers." They were noted for their self-righteousness and their pride (Matt. 9:11; Luke 7:39; 18:11, 12). They were frequently rebuked by our Lord (Matt. 12:39; 16:1-4).
From the very beginning of his ministry the Pharisees showed themselves bitter and persistent enemies of our Lord. They could not bear his doctrines, and they sought by every means to destroy his influence among the people.

And Jesus left them as He doesn't want to argue nor debate with them - this is also the same thing for us we don't need to debate with unbelievers if it's obvious that they are only testing or looking for a hole to put us down.

We serve God because we are saved. Not serve God to be saved. Maintain the doctrines because Jesus is indeed the Mesiah.

In verse 5-12: The disciples were worried because they forgotten the bread, but Jesus reminded them regarding the loaves and feeding of 5 thousand. Now the simple statement of Jesus Christ was "to be on guard against the yeast (false teaching) of the Sadducees and Pharisees". It will lead us astray. Even 1% wrong with (+) 99% right doctrines = everything are still wrong.

Verse 16-20: When Jesus said to Peter "I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. . ." we should not interpret the Bible as literaly but rather the deeper meaning (listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit) example it doesn't mean that Peter hold the keys of the gates of heaven as what other religion believed (when you're about to enter the heaven you will see San Pedro or Peter). On this verses means that if we believed just like Peter confesses to Jesus "you are the Christ, the Son of the living God" then we will enter the Kingdom of Heaven (as Jesus will give us the keys meaning He will open the door) freely we can open it as the keys are given to us by Jesus Christ means He gave us the authority to open it - if we accept (confesses) and not deny Jesus.

The LORD’s Covenant With Abram

1 After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision:
“Do not be afraid, Abram.
I am your shield,
your very great reward.”

Why did God say this to Abram (Abraham)? It's because Abram was terrified and for sure he asked "who will be there for me? Who will be my defense against my adversary?" Therefore, God comforted and reminded him of His faithfulness.
We too must not be sacred of whatever we are experiencing and facing right now. Because it's all part of our growing process (spiritually). Let's be positive to know that in our problems and dilemma it is an opportunity to rise into the next level. So be assured that GOD is with you, HE is for you and will be faithful until the end.

"Cast Your Idols" from 2 Chronicles 28:1-27

We should worship the Creator, not the creation. Also means we should worship the Giver not the gift. The King is the one responsible, that can be compared to nowadays, are the pastor, parents and etc.. all who are leaders of the nation.

The name Ahaz means possessor and holder. He did the wicked.

Walked in the ways of the Kings of Israel here means the Kings of Israel are corrupt and they worship idols.

Baal was their idol in the one of the ten tribes of Judah. Another example is their god Molek, they sacrifice their own child. Which can be related to women doing abortion just to get out of the risk in responsibility.

Deuteronomy 12:2-3 Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree, where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods. Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and burn their Asherah poles in the fire; cut down the idols of their gods and wipe out their names from those places.

Therefore word in the Bible means as a result or so. Because of their sin, their enemy defeated them. By doing sin not only yourselves will affect but also the people around you. Forsaken means unoccupied.

Deuteronomy 6:14 Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you.

The 10 tribes of Judah will be an instrument to destroy Judah because of their sins. If we have anger in our heart and the "wrong motive" will become the form of idolatry, so let it be cast.

Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

James 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Romans 2:5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

Discipline is important to us Christians, as God humbled King Ahaz. Wickedness is a general term of nature of human and result of lack of faith.

God wants his vessel to be clean. Have a pure heart. Don't be faithless.

Where does our health comes from? Only from God and not on things around you. The Word of God says "we need to fellowship". If you like doing other things like do worldly stuff rather than to fellowship with your fellow believers then it become a sin.

Lesson to learn, don't be like Ahaz. When you experience trials, turn quickly to God not to turn away from Him. It will make your faith strengthen and grow.

"God Will Never Ignore You" from Matthew 15:21-39

Cry out to Jesus and Pray as He Knows everything and never ignore you.
God will never ignore us so go to Him anytime and pray with A.C.T.S. Adoration Confession Thanksgiving and Supplication.

The Canaanite woman is a gentile. Jesus did Not ignore her but He was only testing her.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Isaiah 56:3 Let no foreigner who is bound to the LORD say,
“The LORD will surely exclude me from his people.”
And let no eunuch complain,
“I am only a dry tree.”

Verse 26: The children are the Jews and the Dogs are the gentiles.

Remember Luke 18 Parable, the problem is that after we pray we worry. And sometimes we are overwhelm of problems. Worry will change us for worse. Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself.

You have great faith and it doesn't comes from you but from God.

Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

God wants you to pray more and be persistant.

God is sensitive to our needs in verse 32. Prayer is not instructing or informing God.

He daily supplies 900+ billions of creatures in the world.

APTAT
Admit - without Christ we can do nothing.
Pray - beg for help.
Trust - truly rely unto the savior the Lord.
Act - confidence that God will fulfill his word.

"Walk with God" from 2 Chronicles 27:1-9

A saying for us Christians "I rather walk than to run" means that we should continually walk slowly but surely with our faith in God.
This book was not for the kings in Jerusalem. So we will focus on the kings of Judah.

The name Jotham means Jehovah is perfect. (1.) The youngest of Gideon's seventy sons. He escaped when the rest were put to death by the order of Abimelech (Judg. 9:5). When "the citizens of Shechem and the whole house of Millo" were gathered together "by the plain of the pillar" (i.e., the stone set up by Joshua, 24:26; comp. Gen. 35:4) "that was in Shechem, to make Abimelech king," from one of the heights of Mount Gerizim he protested against their doing so in the earliest parable, that of the bramble-king. His words then spoken were prophetic. There came a recoil in the feelings of the people toward Abimelech, and then a terrible revenge, in which many were slain and the city of Shechem was destroyed by Abimelech (Judg. 9:45). Having delivered his warning, Jotham fled to Beer from the vengeance of Abimelech (9:7-21).

(2.) The son and successor of Uzziah on the throne of Judah. As during his last years Uzziah was excluded from public life on account of his leprosy, his son, then twenty-five years of age, administered for seven years the affairs of the kingdom in his father's stead (2 Chr. 26:21, 23; 27:1). After his father's death he became sole monarch, and reigned for sixteen years (B.C. 759-743). He ruled in the fear of God, and his reign was prosperous. He was contemporary with the prophets Isaiah, Hosea, and Micah, by whose ministrations he profited. He was buried in the sepulchre of the kings, greatly lamented by the people (2 Kings 15:38; 2 Chr. 27:7-9).

Why did he reign in Jerusalem?
Because God was calling. He ruled with the fear of God, and this means "fear" is having respect to God.

The name Jerusha means possession, or possessed; i.e., "by a husband", the wife of Uzziah, and mother of king Jotham (2 Kings 15:33).

and Zadok means
righteous. (1.) A son of Ahitub, of the line of Eleazer (2 Sam. 8:17; 1 Chr. 24:3), high priest in the time of David (2 Sam. 20:25) and Solomon (1 Kings 4:4). He is first mentioned as coming to take part with David at Hebron (1 Chr. 12:27, 28). He was probably on this account made ruler over the Aaronites (27:17). Zadok and Abiathar acted as high priests on several important occasions (1 Chr. 15:11; 2 Sam. 15:24-29, 35, 36); but when Adonijah endeavoured to secure the throne, Abiathar went with him, and therefore Solomon "thrust him out from being high priest," and Zadok, remaining faithful to David, became high priest alone (1 Kings 2:27, 35; 1 Chr. 29:22). In him the line of Phinehas resumed the dignity, and held it till the fall of Jerusalem. He was succeeded in his sacred office by his son Azariah (1 Kings 4:2; comp. 1 Chr. 6:3-9).

It is important to walk with God daily and be with the righteous one. Even though we failed, but we must be slowly but surely having faith in God.

Who am I, when no one is watching?
We must do what is pleasing to God.

Our life is like a pizza, each slice is by category with our daily habits, while having small slice means you are only taking time with the Lord. Remember that God is the owner of the pizza.

Hebrews 10:25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Be reminded that even though you are a good person but surrounded with corrupt (means crocked) people meaning they are not good in the eyes of the Lord. Let the Holy Spirit convict them and pray for them. And continue with your spiritual growth.

To walk with the Lord is we need to have the armor, as what says in Ephesians 6.

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Jotham was the warrior who use the armor of God. And this also relate to us - we are the warrior - We use the armor to shield Satan.

Why did Jotham grew powerful?
Because he walk steadfastly. The walk steadfastly means consistent, unwavering and with conviction. As people of God, we need to have faith and relationship in God.

"Be Genuine" from Matthew 15:1-20

In our world nowadays have so many corruptions.

The importance of the heart is to be genuine.
Not just the external appearance.
To Clean our talks. (avoid gossip, bad words expressions, etc. . .)

Traditions - are handled down and obeyed but not really the law of God.

The Pharisees ask a deceptive question (not sincere/genuine) to capture Jesus...

As believers we should not take our parents for granted but the pharisees taught that it is ok not to help your parents if you help others or the church. Jesus emphasize the Ten Commandments that taught us to Honor your father and mother. How could you follow the traditions of not washing your hands before you eat but not follow the Law of God?

Deuteronomy 21:18-21
18 If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, 19 his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. 20 They shall say to the elders, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.” 21 Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid.

Ezekiel 33:31 My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to hear your words, but they do not put them into practice. Their mouths speak of love, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain.

Some people like to hear stories made by man. But NOT interested to listen to God's words. People in reality like entertainment.

The word of God - the truth will set us free.

2 Chronicles 26:16 But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the LORD his God, and entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.

Uzziah start as humble and excellent, in other words he is God-dependent. God provided for all his needs. God blessed Him so much. But he became prideful, and it's rooted from being so self-confident and lack of thankfulness.
Thus, as believers, we should always remember that what we have all comes from the source of all - our God. We need to humbly say "thank you" and not be in so much pride. Because, PRIDE will not lift us up but pull us down.

"Be Careful Of Your Success" from 2 Chronicles 26:1-23

Success comes from the Lord. King Uzziah was successful at first as a king.
Uzziah means strength from the Lord. A contracted form of Azari'ah the Lord is my strength

Blessings will lead us to humbleness. The more humble we are the more blessings.
Jehovah means Lord - who is the most powerful and not to a religion.

Nowadays, it is so sad to know that the worldly people are not seeking God.
Worldly people are more fond of parties and seeking happiness but in going to the church or Bible study, most of us are lazy and not having the heart to seek God.

The battle for us today: are the trials of life and having problem that we may call "Giants" or enemy.

Help means protect or aid.
There is a saying, whoever gives the power gets the glory.
King Uzziah was so blessed, and he became famous. Some famous persons these days gets spoiled and lost with their fame.

The more you learn the Bible - the more we will realize how little we are.

To learned God's word is a blessing.

Judges 20:16 Among all these soldiers there were seven hundred select troops who were left-handed, each of whom could sling a stone at a hair and not miss.

When King Uzziah became powerful with all the blessings he received, he didin't thank God and in return it made himself prideful with the material blessing he has.

Proverbs 29:23 Pride brings a person low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor.

Even though you are low position in the society, the important is having God in your life.
Pride will pull you down and it will never push you up.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

Collosians 2:18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind.

As bible says knowledge puff's up but we builds up.

We learned in Uzziahs life;
Lack of thankfulness to God brings pride to us.
Important to God to be careful for the blessings you have.

"Trust Him Completely" from Matthew 14:22-36

There are instances for example, we trust our money to buy a plane ticket and hoping that when the time comes of our flight we will go to the airport and reach the destination we want.
How much more in the word of God? Do you trust Him completely?

Jesus went to a private place to pray and He trust Him (God) completely.

But the worldly people these days, will make the prayer at the bottom of the list they do thier daily tasks first and they pray at bed time. They don't trust God completely.
The world will do garbage tasks first and pray only if they need it.

Prayer is not a toy. It must be sincere and having the right attitude. Unlike the cell phone, you can communicate with someone if only you have a load but God is open 24 hours / every milli seconds of the a day.

In verse 27 - if we are afraid then we lack of trust. When Peter saw the wind, he was afraid and began to sink. Why? Because Peter lost his focus on the Lord and look at the wind, and cried for help to Jesus.

John 16:23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

If we look around for sure we will be destructed. We must set our eyes on things above and not on this world. We know the word of God is complete.
When we get destructed on the things of this world we will go down.
If we are afraid then it means we don't trust the Lord that is with us, because we got destructed and not focusing our life in Jesus..
People will say "descarte ko yan sa buhay" and "my achievements in life" it means they never trust in the Lord.
Everything you do you must include Christ and He will make your path straight.

The Lord is near to those who called in Him in truth. Our spiritual eyes should be fix to God. Don't get too confident in ourself but be confident with God. Truly Rely on Savior The Lord.

Who reach out the hand in order to save Peter? In verse 31 says it was Jesus. He will come and we shall be saved. He is our refuge our shield.
The word Doubt means is was to duplicate, mentally to waver.
Never Doubt because There is none Like God. So trust Him Completely.

Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD,
whose confidence is in him.

"Stay On Track Until The End" from 2 Chronicles 25:1-28

The book of the Chronicles means history and these includes the history of the Kings who were on Judah.

Amaziah the king, was good at first but in the end he failed to be on track with the Lord. As Christians, we must stay on track on our faith with the Lord until the end.

For us to stay on track until the end, we must obey God's word wholeheartedly. Obeying Jesus commandments to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, and soul.

Wholeheartedly means obeying completely.

James 1:8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

Sometimes the nature of man is not to desire what is good, we often desire is to do sin.
Most of the time, we have no understanding of God's word, and that vengeance is ours (which is wrong thing to do). As the Lord says "vengeance is mine."

Amaziah wants to fight the enemy. In the old testament, God allows the Israelites to fight with the enemy as long as it is not their fellow Jews.

Man's by nature is greedy if he cannot get that something he wants.

We should hate what is evil, but do not hate man. Just hate their wrong motives, but do not commit hatred to others.

The most problem in church is having backstabbers with their fellow believer.

Exodus 20:3-5 You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

Bow down means worship.

Hebrew word of Qatar means burning incense.

Edomites leave in cave. So maybe there they make worship of their idols.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

For us if we lean on money, that is our god.

King Amaziah here make his pride revolves. Pride comes first before tragic happens.

James 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”

We need to learn to be God dependent and not self sufficient.

"Be Compassionate" from Matthew 14:1-21

The world of today is most of the time, people are lovers of themselves they even despise thier own parents. Lacking of compassion to one another.

John the baptist had compassion to rebuke and correct Herodias (his brother Philip's wife) not to marry Herod, but Herod put him into prison. And John the Baptist was beheaded because of the request of Salome the daughter of Herodias.

The disciples of John the Baptist went to Jesus for help. And as for us, whenever we are in trouble we need to run to Jesus and He will fill us. Do not run for justice, God will do what He has to do in protecting His children.

Compassion is not just saying "you're sorry" it is an action word we need the Holy Spirit in order to do it properly.

Remember the story of Chicken and Pig.

Just like Jesus His compassion is giving His life for our sins.

When you cry God knows everything.

Hebrews 5:2 He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness.
Who are ignorant and going astray?
Us.

Our theme for today - "be compassionate" as our God is full of compassion.

"Desire What Is Good" from 2 Chronicles 24:1-27

On this chapter the people are under going the test of faith in God as they sway from being good and bad in the sight of the Lord.

Joash did what was right in the sight of the Lord. To relate in our generation - we should do what is right in the CCTV of the Lord.

Even though our life before, we see how sinful it is, God is a God of second chances, many chances and millions of chances. "Meaning the old has gone, the new has come".

Baal is a god of wisdom.

Use our things for Him not for worldly thing. Cause probably today, if someone has a new things, you desire also to have it.

God loves people who gives cheerfully.
2 Corinthians 9:7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Repairing the temple here is like in the life of a Christian, we are under construction, we have so many things to fix within our heart.
Diligent means hard worker. Dedicating your work for God and desiring what is good.
Sinful nature of man is grabbing something and now how to let go of it. And remember that everything in this world are owned by God.

Joash committed sin to God by worshiping Asherah poles and idols.

The Prophets (are like word of God) reminding the people before just like us with the Bible.

Before we have the "He" generation and it is ONLY God - the only one to worship. But now, its "Me" generation, worshiping ourselves. Sometimes we Christians are always focusing in ourselves.

Sometimes as Christians, we're thinking that God's word is always convicting our life. For God's word is like a double edged-sword.

Field - is the world, the ground, the Earth.
When Jesus talks about a Man - he is talking about himself.
It is not the things of this world that can bring us back to God.

In verse 44 Jesus gave up everything to redeem us.

Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Colossians 2:3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

The treasure is the church.

Merchant - describe as buyer but here it is also Jesus who planted the good seed.

1 John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

If you have the Son - Jesus, you will have the Life.

Another interpretation of the merchant = A true christians is a spiritual merchant who seeks for this fine pearls - word of God, that will make you happy and give up everything.

What are the things we need to learn?
We need to receive God's message and seek God. Remember the song of Kari Jobe - "the more I seek you, the more I find you, the more I find you, The more I love you".

If we are the merchant and Christ will be the pearl then salvation will be our effort which is wrong, because salvation comes through Christ. Pearls - is plural not singular (God) and so we are the pearls we should not find Jesus but He is there for us to receive and He will redeem us.

And now for the parable of the net, this was related to the parables of the weeds. This is how we will be in the end of the age. The judgement day.

The word of God will always come to pass.

1 King 9:5 I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father when I said, ‘You shall never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’

Jehoiada - means Jehovah know, yaweh was identified in his life, he was the instrument of God.

Sometimes we misrepresent God in our actions and words, we are only human not perfect but we need to know what actions to follow and never condemn anybody.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Athaliah was a wicked queen that in verse 8 they will protect the king from the wickedness of Athaliah.

Sometimes people trust in the weapon (firearms, etc.) than in God. But we should trust in God more.

We should remember that God's word will be fulfill and know that we should hold on to God's promises.

Revive ourselves. Remember the song revive us, renew us Spirit come and seize us. Revival comes from within us and not from the world. Reviving our life that comes from the Holy Spirit.

It is important to claim God's promises. Learn to feed ourselves with God's word. Faith comes by hearing - hearing the word of God.

For our teaching this morning, Remember that the seed is the word of God. The one who sow is the Son of God. The field is the world. Weeds are the fake Christians.
The reason why Jesus used seed, field, and weeds as example because most of the people in those days were farmers and they will surely understand the story.

Parables - Earthly story with heavenly meaning.

God will protect us but be careful with the false Christians. Man will put up destructive false doctrines. So if you don't read your Bible you will be deceived by false doctrines kind of teaching.

Jesus helps us in our limitation - that's why He explains in the parables. Seek, hear and listen to the word of God.

And the evil one in this parables can be the bird that eats or snatch the seed from the soil. Some people are happy in receiving the word but when persecution comes they withered and faith dies.

Focus on the Lord and don't depend on your emotions when you serve God. Because emotions can go up and down. The message here is that the spirit will give you light and not your emotions.

What will be your reactions if you have persecution in life?
John said - "in this world you will have persecution"

When you're in the Facebook you can spend 3-hours to 5-hrs. But when you read your Bible only 5-mins. and then fall asleep.

The Bible tells us for the love of money (not having money) is the root of all evil. Don't let your blessings became a curse.

"Use God's Blessing (Correctly) Properly" from 2 Chronicles 21

We learned Jehosaphat was a good King thou he made alliance with unbeliever. This gives us to our tonights theme "use God's blessing properly" and correctly. For example - some people are blessed with more than one cellphone, but most of them used thier own cell phone (blessing) for scams and fooling other people, spread gossip, etc.. Thus, using the blessing incorrectly and not for God's glory.

In our chapter tonight, Jehosaphat was blessed, and he gave the Kingdom to his first born son Jehoram.

Now if you can imagine what is the greatest gift?
the greatest gift God gave us is the spiritual blessing. Saved by grace. We don't limit God's blessing because the real blessing is to know God more.

"Rejoice to those who rejoice and mourn to those who mourn." Do most people follow that?
Most of the time - worldly people will do the other way around - they get jealous if you are happy and get happy if you mourn.

This is also the same as Jehoram used his position and blessing incorrectly. And so, he killed all his brothers.

If we don't depend on God and depend only in our own strength just like Jehoram we can commit the same mistake he had.

Punishment for sin is not always immediate and dramatic. God holds us accountable for the responsibilities we have. No one is perfect, but when you repent God will save you.

The name of the righteous is used in blessings,

What is fear?
It is an emotion of alarm cause by expectation of danger. Most people will run and hide from the object of fear - which is the negative sign or reaction of fear.
The positive sign is to manage your reaction because if you fail to manage fear it can loose your opportunity.

Fear is also God's way for you to remember Him. Managing your fear will help you remember there is one who is ALL POWERFUL GOD that can help you in all kinds of fear.

2 Chronicles 20:4 - they all seek the Lord, if you can imagine if all of us will come and seek the Lord?
Big miracle can happen.
Just like as the Lord taught us to pray in Matthew 6.

There are many messages in the Bible that says when you pray to Lord Jesus Christ thier prayers was answered.
Anyone who is not with God is against God

What is faith?
Confident with assurance that God is there for you who will provide, love and protect.
That is why it is important that we have the relationship with God.

We should always remember that our prayer is not "what your will be done" and asking God to do what you want to be done. Remember that it is the God's will be done.

God will not give you problem you can not bear. So, let your fear be the instrument to worship God.

Repent - is to change your perspective.

Though you have money but no God then what is the purpose of your life?

In this chapter Jesus focus on not following tradition. Sin begins in the mind from it comes the actions. God is interested in our heart and attitude.

We are saved individually and not by group. You are not saved by what religious group you are in.
For the believer there is no neutral either you're with God or against it.

Though we are doomed to hell God left his throne to become human (Jesus Christ) to die for our sins and save us. All we have to do is to accept the fact we are not perfect and have sinned against God.

John 16:7-8 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment:

James 5:16 (NIV)
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Feed your Holy Spirit so it will become strong.

2 Chronicles 19:9 He gave them these orders: “You must serve faithfully and wholeheartedly in the fear of the LORD.

For me this is one of toughest statement in the word of God. In this chapter during our Midweek Bible study, our theme was: "Serve Faithfully". Now in our study for tonight, Jehosaphat was committed to God but he made an alliance with Ahab who hate God. He made an alliance with unbeliever. The Bible taught us that we should not be unequally yoke. You can have acquaintance with unbelievers but don't get too close as in more than friendship.

Like Daniel he was surrounded with pagans and unbelievers but still he remain faithful to God. And, God was with him in the lion's den.

Faithfulness is so important.

Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

And whenever we make a mistake surely we will be rebuke by the word of God to correct us.

Even though we are doing good in our ministry but if you compromise in another area, God will see the area you need to change.

Fear - is to respect

that is folly and shame.

Church Building. Please continue to pray for the provision for the church building. And pray that God will help us during the transition.

Our study for today was about the Pharisees who are being legalistic in the Law.
If I will pray and show good works, will God blessed me?
Yes He will, but if you based it on the prayer and good works alone, then you are wrong.

Don't use worship for you to be blessed. You are blessed and that is the reason for you to worship. Being self righteous and lagalistic is like being Pharisees.

True righteousness comes from the heart.
We are saved to serve and not serve to be saved.

Jesus didn't came to abolish the law but to fulfill it. God created the sabbath. The creator will always be supreme from what it is created.

The purpose of sabbath is to rest and it is for us - our reward from God. Now to where we will spend it - if its for God or pleasure or money - it is our choice.

The word sabbath was mentioned 7-times in this chapter and seven is the completion.
Know that Jesus is the prophet, prince and King.

Don't depend in your own flesh in serving people.
Not doing good in sabbath day or any other day is the same as doing evil.

We don't want to be legalistic in serving God. The question is "how is your relationship with God?"
Don't be like pharisees who were more loyal to thier religious ways than to God.

They way you live your life reveal your reason for living.
Do what is pleasing in the eyes of God not man.

Paul the apostle mentioned here that we are more than conquerors because Christ's love is for us. Answered Prayer
Church Lot: We Praise God for He answered our prayers. We already have a lot for our church! Please continue to pray for provision for church building.

Luke 14:11 "For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."

Obey the sample of Christ, though the people were stuborn Jesus stayed calm. Remember that they rejected God and not you. As we are God's messenger and Child, Whatever they do unto you they did it to God and you will defended by God.

We must be like a child in order to enter the Kingdom of God. If we harden our hearts we will never hear the Holy Spirit.

The two kinds of prayers of people; The arrogant and the little children. The arrogant will always think "I'm a good person and have not sinned against you God." but the little child would always pray "please forgive me for all my sins Lord."
You will never be blessed if you're boasting.

And also be like little children who are excited of the word of God but not of the things of this world.

2 Timothy 1:9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

To "know God" is more than knowledge it requires and intimate relationship with God.

When I read there verses, during my devotion, God really comforted me! Jehoshaphat had a great wealth but he allied himself with the unbeliever.

Remember to "First seek the council of the Lord".

Do not be like Jehoshaphat who doesn't want rebuke. To truly hear the word of the Lord we should not be angry.

Are we like Ahab if we hear the word of God?

Today, God uses the Bible to correct us.
If we don't want we listen surely we will be angry.

Truth can sometimes cause us to be angry, People will only hear what they want to listen. But we must obey God not man.
For sure they will persecute you, If you tell the truth but they don't have the open heart. Blessed are those who are persecuted for they will be blessed.

In 2 Chronicles 18:21-22

21 “‘I will go and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said.

“‘You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the LORD. ‘Go and do it.’

22 “So now the LORD has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of these prophets of yours. The LORD has decreed disaster for you.”

Why would God allow the lying spirit in all prophets?
God has created all things, God has place a limitation in what Satan can do, but God does use Satan for His purposes. When God Created man, gave to man the power of choice it was necessary that man's choice was valid and there is something to choose, if you don't have a choice then what is the value of choices? If God didn't allow any choice then what is the value of choice if all and everything was good in the whole universe?
God have to create a choice, He has allow Satan and allow man to choose if he was for God or not. God was looking for love in man and God will never know unless the man will choose Him against Satan.
And thus, God allowed God the rebellion of Satan, and allow us to exercise that choice. And now, God is allowing a lying Spirit in all the prophet in order for Him to pursue His purpose and we can't argue what God plan as He is wiser than we are. Now it worked, Ahab went to the battle and died.

Compromise - you are leaving yourself open.

Don't make allied with unbeliever.

The life of Ahab serves as a lesson that we must hear the word of the Lord and we need to always have His word to minister to us, don't merely listen, but doing it.

It is not enough to be student only but also a servant.

God didn't gave us the spirit of timidity of but spirit of faith.

They are filled with knowledge but they denied God in thier actions.
Jesus tells us Love Him more than your family make Him your first priority.
For example if your family did wrong and choose them more than what Jesus says is right then you are making your family your first priority.

Be lead by the Spirit and deny ourselves. Not as the world says "Love yourself first and then everything will follow."
It should be "Love God first and everything will follow"

"I'm Blessed" Psalm 32

I was so speechless tonight. Very surprise to see Ptr. Ken Pascua and his entire family back in Davao. Still can't believe they are here for the last time before going to the USA for good.

Here are my notes for tonight teaching:

The only blessing we can ever have is the forgiveness of sins and God received us in His kingdom.

What is the difference between transgression and sin?
Transgressions - you know it's bad but you did it anyway.
Sins - you miss the mark.

When we confess, God will forgive us. Many people got crazy because they know they are guilty. They punish themselves because they thought that all that guilt and shame will be forgiven but forgiveness is only through Jesus Christ.

We do sin specifically against God. And we should ask for repentance specifically to God. If we try to cover our sins what will happen?

If we kept silent of our sins how can God forgive us?
Repent quickly. Every day we need to trust in God's grace moment by moment.

The problem is that we keep on telling ourselves to confess later. Some people wait and wait till thier heart got hard. But the true children of God doesn't got by without being caught.

Who paid of all our sins?
Jesus Christ.

Ressurection - is the receipt.

Discipline is God calling us back to get our attention to come come back to Him.

Acknowledge our sins and God will forgive us.
God will discipline His child. You wouldn't discipline anybody who is not your child either, don't you?

Never cover your sin if you do you will not be forgiven. You can't hide your sin, the Lord will expose it. So be sure to confess it before you're put in the highlights.

God is patience and giving opportunity to everyone. He is our hiding place. So never listen if satan will come to you and say "it's ok you can do that and repent later."

Who is our counselor?
The Holy Spirit, will counsel us. Our conscience to teach and instruct us. To keep us in the right tract.

God doesn't want to hurt you so listen to the Holy Spirit.

Repent now and do it today. If we are forgiven then we are blessed.

"Grow In Christ" from Matthew 10:1-20

“They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”

or take up their names on my lips.

5 LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup;

6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.

"We are like a plant that needs to stay in one place."
Reflect on what will happen if you keep on removing the plant and put it in one place to another?

Eventually, the plant will die, because the plant roots will never have the chance to grow and attached itself firmly in the ground.
As for us, to spiritually grow healthy, we need to stay in one fellowship.

The capability to do ministry will always come from God. God will give us power to do His will and serve to reach out to people.

Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.

Freely you receive, freely you will give. - The gospel is free and we need to preach it for free. Therefore, when we preach don't ask for money. Trust in the Lord and He will provide. Don't use God's name for your own benefit.
It is never about money.

Don't give your gold to the pigs - use your discernment in sharing. Always be prepared to those you are willing to listen.
To be like God is to be wise, harmless and sensitive. And know the consequences when you reject the God's message.

2 Peter 3:7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

Be excellent on what is good and innocent on what is evil.

2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.

Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD.

The word "Blessed" means oh how happy!. As His children, I would say, oh how wonderful, blissful, delightful and pleasurable it is to have God in our lives. For the Lord our God is so awesome, He is indescribable God. Let us therefore all the time glorify the God of the universe in our lives. Be blessed and be satisfied because He is our GREAT I AM!

"Fully Rely On God" from 2 Chronicles 16

Be the FROG - fully rely on God.

Southern and Eastern part of Israel at this point are on war. Asa is on the Southern part.

Asa at this point don't rely on God for his sickness. He seek the help of the physicians rather than God. Trusting in the arm of the flesh than on the Lord.

For instance, we trust more in our money and food rather than to God.

Be consistent in our dependency on God.

Charisma - God's grace working on us.
Charismania - man's effort imitating God's grace.

Asa also made a mistake in asking help in non believers. He suffered from a serious foot disease but he never ask the help of God. The Bible criticizes his consultations with physicians because in those days "physicians" were pagans healers who used rituals that conflicted with God's law.

God will strengthen us if we fully rely on the Lord. Don't worry about tomorrow.

Psalm 37:40 The LORD helps them and delivers them;
he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
because they take refuge in him.

James 1:19-20
19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.

Remember as you look at the FROG - be the FROG kind of person.

"He Is Risen from The Dead" from Matthew 28

We need to know the importance and highlight of the Easter Sunday. Is it Christ or the egg?
Be reminded that Jesus told His disciples to Stop doubting.

Christ Resurrection is not man's effort but God's.

God will use the foolishness of this world to shame the wise.

Matthew 16:21 From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.

John 2:19 Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days."

It is a sin of omission if we forget the message of God.

1 Corinthians 15:4-6
that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas,[a] and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.

People can sometimes be so literal and they are more excited in egg hunting than the fact that Christ has risen from the dead.

Now Why did Jesus meet His disciples in Galilee?

It is the place where Jesus was called Nazarene. And Christ was rejected on this place and so this is to let the people know that Jesus was telling the truth.

Matthew wrote these things to prove Jesus is the Messiah.

The definition of easter - is to our faith. . .It is the first and final word of Jesus Christ.

The enemy will try to put lies in the mind of the people to let the message of resurrection be useless. They will believe more in the chickens and eggs rather than believing in Christ.

For the love of money is the root of every kind of evil. Most people would prioritize worldly things than eternal things like Spiritual growth. Encourage one another and prioritize of fellowship with Christ.

God gave us 6-days to work and Sunday is our time to worship. Set your mind on things above not on worldly things.

If we are not in fellowship with Christ we will little by little forget God's word.

Blessed are those who believe yet have not seen.

Luke 24:34 It is true! The Lord has risen. . .

Is it really true that Christ has risen from the dead? I will not blame and accuse why people doubted or even refuse to believe in Christ's resurrection. Because before, even the disciples they doubted, they forgot the words of Jesus that He will rise from the dead. And they have slow of heart to believe His resurrection (they think He was a ghost). But one thing I would say to you, I am convinced that Christ indeed HAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.

The meaning of Azariah - Whom Jehovah helps

Seek God's kingdom and righteousness then everything will follow.

In the book Colossians - teaches that whatever we keep on thinking - that is what you ?idolize?

From first thing in the morning to evening what are our thoughts? Is it the cell phone? The person you're in love with? Or the Bible?

The emphasis of the Bible is to keep you from sin but be aware that sin will also keep you from the Bible.

Little by little, before we knew it because of the increase of the wickedness we become lukewarm.
If we don't go back to the basic it can happen to all of us.
It's so important to bring our own Bible.

Learn to study on our own in our devotion. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

Do not give up and be strong. Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power don't depend on your own.
(Don't let your hands be weak, don't throw the towel.)

Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Our labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Don't expect too much that everything will be rewarded right away, it will happen at the right time.

Are we sensitive to God's word?
If you're not then it's a red flag and time to go back to the basic. We need to allow His word to encourage us.

If we are doing something without thinking - it's a "Habit" (going to The Bible study without your brain functioning) is not good because it comes out without a meaning.

To check the person if he is sick the doctor will always check the patients' appetite. Do we still have the appetite in God's word?
Search me oh God and know my heart.
If your basing your feelings in serving God. That is not good.

Stay on track and seek the Lord with all your heart.
No matter who you are if you don't have a real relationship with the Lord, you will be put into hell. Anyone who refuse to seek the Lord will be put to hell.

Remember that Asa was not a man pleaser, he pleases God more than man. Asa did right in the eyes of God.
Moral lesson here is that we need to please God more than man. Stand for what is right. Follow what the Bible teaches.

Be lead by the Holy Spirit and set our heart in things above, occupy until He comes.

The purpose of this book is to let us know that Jesus is the Messiah and Son of God.

Part of God's nature of God is omnipotent and also the God of the needy all we have to do is cry out to Him.
The word believe it to have faith and to put in trust with all of your heart and mind.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Psalm 136:23 To the one who remembered up in our low estate. His love endures forever.

Did you ever felt that you are alone? That God seems like He is not concern and wasn't thinking about you? This verse really comforted and reassured me. I'm encourage and blessed when I read it.

Our sins are forgiven

Colossians 1:12-14
12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Christ has the authority to forgive our sins as He came for the helpless to forgive our sins.

The Lord knows the heart.
Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Don't pretend that you don't need His forgiveness. We are all helpless.
The purpose of this letter is to prove that Jesus is the Messiah.

Matthew 9:6 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins." So he said to the paralyzed man, "Get up, take your mat and go home."

So they may know that the son of man has the authority to forgive sins.
Why did Jesus called Himself the Son of God/Man because He was the mediator. Half God and Half human.
The only one who knows the needs of the people and also God at the same time.

You can receive healing and forgiveness.

Jesus came for the helpless, Matthew was helpless and Christ called him. Matthew got up right away and follow Jesus.
No matter what is your background and past life you still have room for Jesus.
Don't think that Christ will not forgive you. If you are willing to ask for forgiveness and repent, God will give you a new heart. It is the power of the Holy Spirit.

Luke 5:27-28
27 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. "Follow me," Jesus said to him, 28 and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.

Luke 9:23
Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Consider and Let Jesus control and reign in our home and in all of the areas in our life.
Matthew invited Jesus in His house and also his friends to meet Jesus.

Let's have time to unbelievers and to lead them to Christ. To be the light of the unbelievers and to remind us we are like that before so reach them out.

Healthy people don't need doctors but the sick.

We have all fall short in the Glory of God. Jesus was sent by God to saved the sinners. So if you consider yourself righteous then you have no room in heaven but if you humble yourself and admit your sins then you're saved.

We should not treat the Bible as text book or study it just for intellect.
What are signs that the believers neglect God's word?

Because of the increase in wickedness, the love for the Lord grow cold.
Lack of respect to God.
They believe the deception of Satan.
They are now "Lukewarm".

Transgression - transgress means to cross the line. Transgression - you know its wrong but you still do it.
Abandonment of God's Law is the sign of spiritual immaturity. Our enemy is not our friend never forget that Satan is our enemy.

We will have consequences in our sins but God will reward the Humble.

God desires is our whole hearted devotion and full commitment and we will never ever forget God. Give yourself to the works of God.

We must run in full concentration that will help us to never forget God. Set our hearts on things above and not of this world. And our concentration is on Christ Jesus.

Watch out = be aware and observant for false prophets. A false prophets is a teacher of incorrect doctrines.

Know the word of God
Know the basic teaching in the Bible - faith, love fruit of the Holy Spirit. We are all save by grace. Be grounded in the root to get all the nutrients.

Don't be neutral but stand in your faith.

Sheep symbolizes innocence. Sheep clothing but the heart is evil. Most of the false prophets are wolves. They take advantage to people in taking money from them using the name of God for donation. And also take advantage of the women in thier churches "sexual immorality".

Pharisees are so holy outside but so many hatred inside thier hearts.

Jesus is the only way to truth and no one comes to God except through Him. But other religion would say they are the way to heaven.

By thier fruit you will recognize them. What is the fruit? Thier character the aboundance of thier life. - Matthew 7:16

Always be reminded as Christians be a fruit inspector. It is very different from judging them like always looking on thier mistakes.

The life of the Christians is not putting your one feet on the other side (good) then another feet on the other side (bad). You really need to make a choice. The fruit of the spirit is Love, faith goodness, gentleness and self control look at the character of the person. We will not produce Godliness if we are bad.

The man who doesn't bear good fruit will be cast on the fire. They are clouds without rain. Matthew 7:19

Pray for ourselves "Make me a true fruit bearing tree"

What are the will of God?

John 6:40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

1 Thessalonians 4:3 It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;

It doesn't prove that if they do miracles they are true prophets. Remember that Satan can also do miracles.

2 Timothy 2:6 The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.

Psalm 119:24 Your statutes are my delight;
they are my counselors.

In reality, most of the people today are not interested in the Word of God. Tragically, some of those who professed Christians has no pleasure in God's word but they turn to the idea, concept and wisdom of this world instead of turning to the ANSWERS to our QUESTIONS.
As for us, we need to be eager and delighted in seeking God's Word. Be mindful of what Jesus said: the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

"Make A Right Choice" from Matthew 7:7-14

The unbelievers will teach you "do unto others as what they have done unto you or do not do unto others what you don't want them to do to you"
If they gossip about you then gossip about them too?
If you don't gossip about a person but he/she gossip about you will you do the same?

Jesus teaching "do unto them as you want them to do unto you" this is the what the believer should follow.
If they are selfish. Don't be selfish if you want to receive aboundantly.
Though it is so hard to do, Love your enemy even if they gossip about you.

Remember that the way to heaven is narrow.

Acts 14:22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God," they said.

We must go through many hardship in order to enter the kingdom of God. This narrow way will lead us to eternal life - to be with God forever.

Psalm 119:14 I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.

Isn't it hard for you to obey God's command? Are you complaining because His commands are tough? But the attitude of the Psalmist here is a wonderful model for us to follow. He is so positive, cheerful and greatly glad in following God's command like a person who received a million pesos!
In the same way, we should have joy in following God's commandments for his commands are not burdensome/heavy and this is our expression of our love for God: "to obey HIS commands!"

"Do Not Judge" from Matthew 7:1-6

Do not deal with others before you deal with yourself. Never judge. We must deal with ourselves first. God is the one who will judge - not us. Though the Bible tells us to discipline others we should not judge. Look at our hearts first and check it . Psalm 139:23-24

For in the same way you judge others, you will also reveal the same areas in your life that you are committing a sin.

And sometimes it is easy to "blow up" other people sins while you excuse the sins in your life.

Luke 18:9-14

9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’
13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’

14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Galatians 6:1

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.

"If we judge others we are hypocrite"

Matthew 7:5 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Judge yourself first and lovingly help others. It is not our job to judge.
Examine you life daily and overcome everything with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 115:5-8
5 They have mouths, but cannot speak,
eyes, but cannot see.
6 They have ears, but cannot hear,
noses, but cannot smell.
7 They have hands, but cannot feel,
feet, but cannot walk,
nor can they utter a sound with their throats.
8 Those who make them will be like them,
and so will all who trust in them.

The Psalmist is denouncing the idols (carve images) and give a warning to the makers of the idols. We know that idol is futile/useless and without any senses. In other words you cannot expect an idol to listen or to answer. Now, in contrast to our God - the God who hears and answers to each one of us who call on to His name. God is SPIRIT, and His worshipers MUST worship in spirit and in truth.

"Don't Make Any Promises" from Matthew 5:33-48

Let our yes be yes and no be no and never make any promises. You
James 5:12 Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned.

Be devoted, complete and mature. Godly in mind and character. We will improve as Christians. Christ calls each one of us as His disciples and citizen of His kingdom. Let's make a difference.

Pastor's Message

Jonah 4:1-3 But Jonah was greatly displeased and became angry. He prayed to the LORD, "O LORD, is this not what I said when I was still at home? That is why I was so quick to flee to Tarshish. I knew that you are gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. Now O Lord, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live. But O Lord take away my life, for it is better for me to dies than to live." But the LORD replied, "Have you any right to be angry?"

At this moment Jonah finally obeyed God to go to the city of Ninevah and proclaim the message to them. As a result people of Nineveh repented from their sins. However, Jonah was not pleased and so upset because he saw those people (worse sinners) turning from their wicked ways, despite of the fact that he was the one who preached the Word of God to them.

For us, we should rejoice when someone resented and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Because remember, we too are sinners saved by His GRACE.

"Matters Of The Heart" from Matthew 5:21-32

Our relationship to God is more important than our service to God.

Settle matters quickly without delay.

1 Peter 3:7-8 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers. Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.

The word LUST to set your heart upon. Women are always the subject of lust. They are in most commercials to entice viewer in buying their products.

Pastor's Message

Psalm 90:10 The length of our days is seventy years or eighty, if we have the strength.

Surely God will make men return to dust. And knowing the fact that LIFE IS SHORT, what kind of people we ought to be? I believe, first we must know that there is LIFE AFTER DEATH. For that reason, we need to prepare ourselves to secure our salvation. And this salvation is found in no other else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we MUST be SAVED. And that name is JESUS! JESUS! JESUS!

"Be More Like Jesus" from Matthew 5

There are two kinds of blessings: worldly and Godly.

On this chapter Jesus is talking about Godly character. To be humble even if we are blessed. Be hungry and thirsty for righteousness, not for fame and power.

The danger in proper diet - if we eat junk foods it will ruin our appetite. This is the same for our spiritual appetite if we are exposed to garbage information it will ruin our appetite for righteousness.

By showing mercy you will obtain mercy.

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Talk to God and tell Him how you feel then forgive the person even if they didn't ask for forgiveness.

Pure heart - unadulterated heart.

To purify our hearts acknowledge that you don't have a pure heart then allow the Holy Spirit to clean and reformat our old ways.
Pray that God will give you an undivided heart. Respect God and recognize that He is the only one that can help you.

"Overcome The Temptations" from Matthew 4:1-11

Testing is from God but Temptation is from Satan.
How do we overcome temptation?

You need to recognize the temptation. Meditation on word of God as it is so important the sword of the Spirit.

Be lead by the Holy Spirit and keep the word of God.

We need to put the word of God inside our heart so that we can detect the temptations. Satan only duty is to destroy everything - to discourage us being Godly.

Do not depend on one verse only and never interpret only one verse. As we study, we need to also know the context of all verses.

In reply to Satan temptation, Jesus used the book of Deuteronomy:

First temptation He used

Deuteronomy 8:3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.

and the second

Deuteronomy 6:16 Do not put the LORD your God to the test as you did at Massah.

; for the third

Deuteronomy 6:13 Fear the LORD your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name.

Satan is the prince of this world he would offer the world to you if you worship him. Do not love the world or anything in the world

Matthew 16:26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

We need to please God in all that we do.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Jesus is our supreme example and He overcome the temptations, we can do all things through Christ as He overcome the world. Jesus depend on the Holy Spirit and so follow the example of Jesus.

We need to be prepared by the scheme of the enemy.

1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.

What good it is if you gain the world but looses your own soul?

To fear the Lord and serve Him only. What does it mean in fearing God?

To take God seriously.

Don't think that Satan will not come back if you overcome the temptation, never relax and stay on track because Satan will come back to give you more powerful temptation.

The meaning:
Baptism of fire is the cleansing process - of purification through the Holy Spirit.

Why was Jesus baptize?

He approved to John ministry. To fulfill all righteousness. Jesus is modelling (or doing) what needs to done, in short He is giving an example.

Baptism is not a religion or way for us to be saved. It is the act of obedience and repentance of sins.

Jesus lived on this Earth as 100% man though He was God.

God spoke to Joseph (fiance of Mary) through dreams. If we want to hear His voice we must not harden our hearts.

Revelation 12:4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.

Here is the plan of Satan as he wants to destroy our Savior.

Be obedient to the guidance we have from God and God will speak more to you.

Joseph was sensitive to God's guidance and willing to do God's will no matter what it takes.

Spend your time with God just like how you spend time with your family, friends, spouse and etc.

Trust in God's plan to follow the example of Joseph.

Nazareth has a constant communication to the world. They have polluted morality. The humility of the King is something we have to admire.

"Be A Good Leader" from 1 Chronicles 27

Actions speaks louder than words as a good leader we must "do as I do" not "do as I say". In short "Be the example".

To be a good leader we must be brave enough to face trials. Paul said to Timothy "for God did not gave us spirit of timidity but the spirit of power."

Even though "we did it" we must not say it is because of our talents.

Keep in mind that "we are not super saints or super Christians".

We must recognize its God who sustains us. Most of the times we only looked upon ourselves but we must recognize that God is the source of all things. As a leader we need to be influencer and NOT to follow the example of the world.

1 John 1:16-17
For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

To be a good example you must get rid of yourself.

A good leader is a servant of all to be faithful in little things - God will give you the big things (important responsibilities).

We must be above the criticism.

Proverbs 18:24 One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Let your light shine before men so they will praise your Father in Heaven.

Fellowship is very important for us in order to grow spiritualy. We shouldn't be (present just on special day) CEO (Christians) - Christmas and Easter Only.

During these special days we are busy and too occupied, and the meaning of Christmas is not just giving gifts but it's about your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Reading God's word is important and receiving His word gladly in our hearts. Have the true meaning and relationship with Jesus Christ.

Christmas is all about glory and grace. God reach out to man for you and me - all we need to think about is Christ. And to Celebrate Christmas with God.

We must be glad as the song goes "Joy to the World".

Recognize God that He is our King. Walk with Him and continue your fellowship with Him.

What can break our fellowship with God?
Our sins. And If we have bitterness and don't have forgiveness, we encourage you to forgive those who sins against you and be compassionate. As God forgave you.

Remember while we are sinners Christ died for our sins. This is the reason of the birth of Jesus Christ - the "Star is Born". And let's keep in mind the meaning of Christmas.

We must be ready for the reward with Jesus

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

All our labors are not in vain. Salvation is free gift. Jesus will give rewards according to what we have done. Remember the parable of Jesus "the faithful servant" in the book of Matthew. God will give us responsibilities in Heaven. As we wait for God serve Him whole heartedly.

Matthew 6:1 "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven."

When you serve God do it out of love not because others is watching you. Serving Him without hypocrisy. Do not let your right know what your left hand is doing. If you give your tithes to God don't let anyone know. All our efforts will be rewarded by God.

Isaiah 44:6 “This is what the LORD says—
Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty:
I am the first and I am the last;
apart from me there is no God.

As we wait for His coming God will finish what He has started. Therefore as we wait we must be ready.

We are justified. The robe of righteousness must be clean. As we wait for Him go to His word. He is faithful and purify us from all sins.

Being blameless is not being perfect. It is having a heart to repent quickly and do what is right. Blessed is the man who's ways is blameless.

It is so important to do and obey His word - to go back to His commandments.

Avoid the area that will cause us to sin.

God promise us we will have eternal life and will live forever with our glorified body.
Our curse begin when we gave in to sins that separate us from God. Why are we here if we are cursed?
God didn't make us (human) to be a robot, HE gave us freedom of will and to choose between HIM and Satan, if we want to be restored from our sins or not.

Whenever we are tired remember:
T-tell it to God
I-increase your faith.
R-refresh your spirit, pray.
E-endure, and press on.
D-do it with God, don't do it on your own.

If you're faithful in little things God will give you bigger things - that is bond servant - servant for life.
Servant for life without end that is our relationship with God.

God assure us that all these things will happen.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Revelation 22:8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me.

God told us never worship the creation. And John made another mistake.

3) Judge of Good and evil

We must be willing to change. God wants us to wait and be transformed to enter HIS kingdom.

We will sing worship forever in Heaven. No more will there be teachings of God's word because the only reason we are learning the Bible in order for us to go to Heaven so when we are already there all we need to do is worship God.

To give our best in serving God 110% as we are not serving men but God.

First we experience grace from God to experience the fruit of the Holy Spirit i.e. peace. God is our refuge, strong tower and shield we must realize to always give God our best.

Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.

Hide God's word in our heart in order to guard our heart. As emotions can be deceitful.

Joshua 1:7-8
Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Be strong in the Lord and Don't loose heart never drop the race.

Revival starts in our hearts and mind. In the future all things are new and we will experience the new Heaven and new Earth.

John 14:23 Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

We need to treat our body as the Temple of The Holy Spirit. As our body belong to Christ, the body we live in now is not for ourselves. Offer your body as an instrument of righteousness and not wickedness.

Though we have sickness remember our body is just temporary and this world is not our place. And also God will use certain problems in our life to help us to grow in knowledge in our savior Jesus Christ. In heaven there will be no more death but we will have an everlasting life. All things in the past will be completely erased. We will never say "we experience this and that in the Earth...".

2 Corinthians 5:17 If anyone in Christ, he is a new creation the old has gone the new has come.

The second death is the eternal separation from God. Those who are unbelieving people will be put in the fiery lake of burning sulfur - this is the second death.

We need to refocus our priorities in our life - ask ourselves - God or the things of this world?

Psalm 34:19 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.

In this verse we notice here that a righteous man not a wicked man has many troubles, for it i not guarantee that when you do good things or become righteous you are free from troubles (ex. Trials, sickness, problems, mourning, persecution and so forth). Our Lord Jesus said: In this world you will have troubles/tribulation not great tribulation, but TAKE HEART! I have overcome the world.
And we can find comfort and assurance as we read the last past of the verse. For is not ourselves, neither our friends nor any other person can rescue us from all our troubles BUT THE LORD. So, be confident that God is able to help you in your time of need! Just take heart and hold on to Christ

David at this moment is slowly not trusting God, but trusting in his armies.

Don't depend on the arms of the flesh and have a complete trust on God. Don't listen to the voice of Satan.

When David desire to number or count the Israelites to know how great or many his armies, this is the beginning of his pride. Sometimes if we begin to have pride in our heart this also opens the door to Satan's voice

Most of the times people want to please man rather than God.

Intelligence is like the river the deeper it is the less noise.

In 1 Chronicles 21:6-7 But Joab did not include Levi and Benjamin in the numbering, because the king's command was repulsive to him. This command was also evil in the sight of God; so he punished Israel.

God punished the Israelites.

Pride goes before destruction.

Proverbs 19:22 What a man desires is unfailing love; better to be poor than a liar.

People around you will be affected by your sin. We can't say that when we sin "nobody will get affected" as Christians we need to have that genuine faith. Remember the story of Jesus about the pharasees as he prayed "Lord, I am not like the other people as I fast twice a week and read the Bible everyday . . ."
but the tax collector prayed "God have mercy on me a sinner."

Though how many times we prayed and God enero't answer you prayer maybe God is telling you to be humble. As Christians remember we are saved by grace and grace alone.

Without praying it is our pride speaking. God commandment was to pray without ceasing.

Deuteronomy 16:17 Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.

If we belong to a certain religion, does that mean we are automatically in the Book of Life?

It's not about what religion you belong, or if you have the right religion, but it's all about having that true relationship with God.

2 Peter 3:7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

2 Peter 3:10-11 ¹⁰But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.
¹¹Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives

To be in the center of God's word, and if we are serious and joyful. If we don't have relationship with God then we will experience the second death - our spirit will be thrown in the lake of fire.

Second death is eternal separation from God.

Examine your heart do you think you are worthy to be written in the Book of Life?

Make sure your name is written in the Book of Life, reflect and repent daily. Follow David's prayers "search my heart oh Lord".
To have faith and believe in Jesus Christ

John 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

The issue is not in the future, but the issue is today and how you live your life, do you have a relationship with God? And if God will judge you, Do you think your name is in the Book of Life?

"Our Battle is Constant" from 1 Chronicles 20

The enemy is constantly attacking us every single day and always there around us to destroy us.

We need to be watchful and be aware that we are in constant battle as the enemy are always active.
In the book of Philippians we can do all things with God so we don't need to put it all in our hands.

Sometimes if we are harsh and quickly judge people. It could only mean that we are doing sins in our life and we tend to be judgmental - to quickly jump into conclusion.

If we fall into sins, the most important step to do is to get up and be careful.

Overcome the giants in our life - it could be the problems, etc...

God is much bigger than our problems. As we trust in the Lord, even in our trials the enemy will be defeated. It was all about the grace of God that we can overcome all our problems.

We need to listen to the voice of truth.
